What should you eat on the Paleo Diet?
The paleo diet is modeled after what our ancestors consumed during the paleolithic era. The diet itself is very healthy and nutritious if followed correctly. Thousands of people all over the world have received many health benefits and excellent results from adopting this new eating life style. While the paleo diet will not cure all of natures ills it will benefit you in numerous ways
The diet itself is pretty straight forward. You have a paleo food list containing everything you can eat and a list of non Paleo foods that you should not consume. It is very simple and any understandable. Unlike a lot of complicated diets which use calorie counting, specific food combinations, detox flushes, cabbage soup, etc. the paleo diet is basic and simple. However, it is not an easy diet to follow if you do not plan your meals in advance.
You’ll need to use your will power to get over the initial hump when your body is adjusting to the new foods. You may even experience a little bit of sickness as your body adjust to your new healthy way of eating. Once past this uncomfortable face it will be easy.
So what is a good food list for Paleo?
The paleo foods you consume will be highly nutritious and natural. It is advised that you eat organic produce and grass fed meats. Even eggs should be free range. Many people claim that it is too expensive but if you are like me you will find out that is not the case because you will not be as hungry and therefore consume less. If you cannot afford organic vegetables and grass fed meats at the beginning , then by all means get the normal produce and meats. Most importantly, stick to the paleo food list recommended by the diet.
There are a wide range of the types of foods you can eat while living the paleo life style. It would be best to get a great Paleo cookbook. This post will give you a few suggestions, but it is by no means comprehensive. You will benefit greatly from more research.
